The Future! (Oct. 30th, '07)

I've waited all year to make sure that everyone with any sense who used to read the comic had given up on it. Now I'm gonna start it up again, from scratch, with no readership, as it should be. Or am I?

So it'd be pretty terrible of me to do all this website crap and then just forget the comic again, eh? I'm buffering, seriously. Oops, Nevermind is coming back at the end of November.

She's no longer my end-game goal, though. I'm going to be completely honest about that. I just want to get this story finished so that the guilt will go away.

Oops has never really had a proper narrative. I'm writing it as I go, and we'll see if that continues to work in its favor. Dissent had a proper narrative and look where that got it? No, seriously, I quit Dissent because it took me 20 hours to do each page, and I'm not down with that sort of nonsense at all. If it was up to me, I'd get me an art slave to do all the work for me.

Incidentally, I'm writing a massive space opera serial that is tied into XI Greyson's backstory, and if there happen to be any artists out there who want to draw it PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CONTACT ME.

Oops, Nevermind will continue to operate in relatively real time, which means that it'll have been a year since we last saw XI and co. Some of the next story arc will deal with getting you guys caught up with what happened over the last year; I don't expect anyone to have to trawl through the archive (you can if you want to, but I'm terribly embarrassed by most of the art and writing throughout, especially the writing). The art's gonna be on roughly the same level, 'cause most of the time I spent improving my art on Dissent was wasted on boosting my coloring skills, and almost nothing went into art. My lineart is still laughably dull.

Anyway, I hope all five of you who stuck around after all this time don't feel like you've wasted your time.
